Regular cast members during the season include Kathy Bates, Nathan Corddry, Karen Olivo, Mark Valley and Christopher McDonald. Christopher McDonald was promoted to a main character after season one. Aml Ameen and Brittany Snow left the cast after season one but will be guest starring in season two.[2] The season was originally going to have thirteen episodes. On October 11, NBC ordered an additional six scripts, bringing the total to 19.[3]

　　Frank Tagliano ('Steven Van Zandt' ), is a former New York mobster, who after testifying in a trial in the United States, Tagliano joins the witness protection program. Intrigued by the place after watching the Winter Olympics in 1994, he is relocated to Lillehammer in Norway.
